LoopCV and Scout both automate the mechanical work of job searching — but they make fundamentally different choices about how applications are prepared, where they're sent, and who holds your data. This guide lays out the real differences so you can make an informed choice.
Quick verdict
Start with Scout's free tier — free to discover, no credit card — and see your matched roles before committing to anything. LoopCV has no India boards. Scout covers 30+ including Naukri and iimjobs. Choose Scout if resume tailoring, ATS portal coverage, or keeping your resume on your own machine (Claude Code host) matters to you. Choose LoopCV if you want a polished web dashboard and are comfortable with cloud-based automation using a static resume.

Resume Tailoring: Where They Diverge Most
LoopCV builds a profile from your CV and uses it as a template across all applications. It adjusts which jobs it targets based on filters you set (title, location, salary), but the resume content itself stays static. Every company you apply to receives the same document.
Scout takes a different approach. Before each application, it reads the full job description and rewrites the relevant sections of your resume — summary, skills section, key bullet points — to match the JD's language and priorities. It then scores the tailored version against the job description. If the ATS score falls below 95, it rewrites again. Only above-threshold applications go out.
This matters because most enterprise ATS systems (Greenhouse, Lever, Workday) use keyword matching to rank candidates before a human reads anything. A generic resume typically scores 40–60%. A tailored one, tuned to that specific JD, typically scores 80–95%.
The blunt version: applying to 200 jobs with the same resume is often less effective than applying to 80 with a tailored one. Scout does the tailoring at scale so you don't have to choose.
Board Coverage
LoopCV covers the mainstream global boards well: LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, and a selection of ATS portals. For most job seekers based in the US or Europe, coverage is adequate.
Scout searches 7 source groups every night:
- ATS portals (Group B): Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday — direct submission to tech company portals
- LinkedIn (Group A): Standard search, Recommended feed, Top Applicant feed — three separate scrapes per run
- Aggregators (Group C): Indeed, Wellfound, Y Combinator Jobs, Otta, WWR
- Specialist boards (Group D): Instahyre, Cutshort, Hirist, iimjobs — regional tech boards most global tools skip entirely
- Gmail alerts (Group E): Reads job alert emails from Naukri, iimjobs, and Indeed directly from your inbox — adds 20–50 pre-personalised matches per run
- International (Group F): UAE/Dubai, Singapore, UK, Germany, Netherlands dedicated searches
- Naukri API (Group G): Full Naukri API search, separate from email alerts
A typical Scout run returns 200–500 raw matches, scores every one, and surfaces 30–80 strong fits by morning.
Privacy
LoopCV is a cloud service. Your resume, job preferences, and application history live on their servers. This is the standard model for SaaS tools — convenient, but your data leaves your machine.
Scout's Claude Code plugin runs inside Claude Code on your own computer, and resume tailoring happens there too — resume content and email credentials aren't sent to AgentCo for that step. (The GitHub Copilot CLI plugin sends resume text to AgentCo's servers for tailoring instead, to keep quality consistent.) On both hosts, a summary of each run — which roles you applied to, and their status — does sync to your AgentCo dashboard; see the plugin's TRANSPARENCY.md for the full data flow. Beyond that, the only other external calls are to job board websites, to search and apply.
This matters most for candidates who are still employed and don't want their resume circulating. If your current employer uses Google Alerts or a recruitment tool that monitors the web for employee resumes, cloud-based job search automation carries real risk. Scout's Claude Code option keeps the resume itself out of that exposure, even though run and application metadata still reaches AgentCo's dashboard.
Pricing
Scout Web is free to discover and score your matches, then ₹299/session to tailor your resume and apply yourself. The plugin (auto-apply overnight) costs ₹599/month (about $6). LoopCV has a free tier, and its paid plans start at €9.99/month — about ₹1,100 at August 2026 rates.
Scout Web is the lowest-friction entry point: no Claude required, runs in your browser, discover your matches for free before paying anything.

What is the main difference between Scout and LoopCV?
LoopCV submits a static resume profile across job listings without per-role customisation. Scout tailors a unique resume to each job description, scores it to ATS ≥ 95, and writes a cover letter before applying. Scout also tailors your resume locally on the Claude Code host (the Copilot CLI host sends resume text to AgentCo's servers instead), while LoopCV is a cloud service regardless of setup.
Is Scout cheaper than LoopCV?
Yes. Scout Web is free to discover matches, then ₹299/session for resume tailoring. The Scout Plugin (auto-apply) is ₹599/month (about $6). LoopCV has a free tier, with paid plans from €9.99/month (about ₹1,100).
Does LoopCV tailor resumes for each application?
No. LoopCV uses your uploaded profile as a static template across all applications. It filters which jobs to target but does not rewrite resume content per role. Scout generates a unique tailored resume per JD before every application.
Which is better for privacy?
Scout's Claude Code plugin: it tailors your resume on your own machine, so resume content stays off AgentCo's servers for that step (the Copilot CLI plugin sends resume text to AgentCo's servers instead). LoopCV is cloud-based regardless of setup, so your data is processed on their servers. For currently-employed candidates who don't want their resume circulating externally, the Claude Code option is a meaningful advantage.
Does Scout cover the same boards as LoopCV?
Scout covers all the major global boards LoopCV supports (LinkedIn, Indeed, Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby) and adds boards LoopCV doesn't: Naukri, iimjobs, Instahyre, Cutshort, Wellfound, YC Jobs, Otta, and dedicated international groups for UAE, Singapore, UK, Germany, and the Netherlands. It also ingests Gmail job-alert emails for 20–50 extra curated matches per run.
Can I try Scout without installing anything?
Yes. Scout Web runs in your browser — no Claude Code, no install. Same 30+ boards. Free to discover and score your matches, then pay ₹299/session to tailor your resume. For auto-apply overnight, subscribe to the plugin at ₹599/month. Also note: web tailoring is ₹299/session. Try Scout Web →
