Terms of Use
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Scout by AgentCo ("Scout", "we", "us"). By installing or using Scout, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Scout.
1. What Scout is
Scout helps job seekers find roles, tailor their application materials, and apply. It is offered through several surfaces: Scout Web (runs on our servers), a Chrome extension, and a plugin for Claude Code and GitHub Copilot CLI (runs on your own computer). Scout also offers a separate service for employers and recruiters to post roles and receive scored applicants.
Where your data is processed depends on which surface you use. On the Claude Code plugin, résumé tailoring runs on your own computer. On Scout Web, the Chrome extension, and the GitHub Copilot CLI plugin, résumé text and the job description are sent to our servers to generate your tailored documents. On every surface, run summaries and application statuses sync to your Scout dashboard. Our Privacy Policy describes this in full.
Scout is a tool — it does not guarantee employment, interviews, or any specific outcome.
2. License to use
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable license to use Scout subject to these Terms and your active paid subscription or valid license key. You may not:
- Share, sell, sublicense, or distribute Scout or your license key
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or modify Scout
- Use Scout's job-seeker features to apply on behalf of any person other than yourself
- Use Scout's job-seeker features to provide commercial recruiting or staffing services to third parties. (Employers and recruiters hiring for their own organisation should use Scout for Employers, which is governed by section 9 below.)
- Use Scout in any way that violates the terms of service of job boards or platforms it interacts with
3. Your responsibilities
You are solely responsible for:
- The accuracy of your profile, resume, and all information you provide to Scout
- All job applications submitted through Scout on your behalf
- Ensuring your use of Scout complies with applicable laws and the terms of third-party job boards
- Maintaining the security of your Scout account, your license key, and — if you use the plugin — your Claude Code or GitHub Copilot CLI installation
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Scout to submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information in job applications. You agree not to use Scout to apply for roles you are legally prohibited from holding. Scout's "no fabrication" rule is a hard constraint baked into the software, but ultimate responsibility for application content lies with you.
5. Payments and subscriptions
For job seekers, Scout is offered as a free preview, a one-time résumé tailoring session, a credit bundle for the Chrome extension, or a recurring monthly subscription. For employers, Scout is offered on a free tier and on paid monthly plans. Current pricing is available at agentco.in. All payments are processed by Razorpay and are governed by our Payment Terms. All sales are final. We do not offer refunds, except where Scout fails to complete tailoring due to a technical error on our end. In the event of a billing error on our part, we will credit your account or issue a correction.
6. Service availability
Scout Web, the Chrome extension, and résumé tailoring on the GitHub Copilot CLI plugin depend on our servers being available. On the Claude Code plugin, searching and tailoring run on your own computer and continue to work if our servers are unavailable, though licence validation, dashboard sync, and your digest do not. Licence validation requires an internet connection periodically. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service with 90 days' notice.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
Scout is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that Scout will find you a job, that all job boards will be accessible at all times, or that applications submitted through Scout will be received or considered by employers.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AgentCo's total liability for any claims arising from your use of Scout shall not exceed the amount you paid for your current license period. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
9. Scout for Employers
Employers and recruiters may use Scout for Employers to post roles and receive applications from Scout job seekers. If you use it, you additionally agree that:
- You are hiring for a genuine, currently open role, and you are authorised to hire for the organisation you post under
- You will use candidate information only to evaluate applicants for the role they applied to, and will not sell it, share it outside your organisation, or add applicants to unrelated marketing
- You will handle candidate personal data in accordance with applicable law and our Candidate Privacy notice
- You will not post discriminatory role requirements, or requirements prohibited by applicable law
Scout does not guarantee a minimum number of applicants, a minimum quality of applicant, or any hiring outcome. We may remove a posting or suspend an employer account that breaches these Terms.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in New Delhi, India.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified by email to active subscribers. Continued use of Scout after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
