Right now, unattended overnight auto-apply runs through the Claude Code or GitHub Copilot CLI plugin — you need one of those installed. A browser-only version that needs neither is in development, so auto-apply works the same way Scout Web already does everything else: no install, no API key, nothing to set up.
*Not live yet — this is a roadmap statement, not a feature you can use today. And it is additive, not a replacement: once the web-native version ships, the Claude Code and GitHub Copilot CLI plugin versions are not going away. They remain available, and stay included for monthly subscribers, exactly as they do now.

No. During setup you tell Scout exactly what you're looking for — job titles, locations, industries, and your minimum salary. Scout only applies to roles that match all your criteria. Nothing embarrassing gets sent.

Scout auto-applies to ATS portals; login-walled boards get materials prepared and queued for your one-click review.
No. Your job titles, employer names, employment dates, and degrees are locked and never touched. Scout only rewrites bullet emphasis to match the job description — using your real experience. Every tailored resume has to clear a high confidence bar for ATS readiness before Scout submits it, and your original file is always preserved.
Yes. Your first run is free — no card needed. Scout searches every board it covers and scores every match in full. On the free run it submits 7 applications (2 with deep tailoring and a cover letter, 5 with fast tailoring); every other match unlocks when you upgrade.
